CLARENCE R. MURRAY It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Clarence R. Murray on September 24, 2002. He was born in Lyleton in April of 1918. Clarence leaves to cherish his memory his wife Betty and their two sons, Douglas (Janet) and David (Sandi) of Calgary; two grandchildren, Steven and Jennifer will also lovingly remember their Grandpa Murray. Clarence will be remembered by his sister Pearl (Ralph) brother Jim (Elaine) of Lyleton, MB; and brother Norris (Joyce) of Alberta; there are also numerous nieces and nephews to cherish his memory as well as many friends. Two sisters predeceased him (Kay and Shirley). He was raised on a family farm in Lyleton, MB, and in 1940 he joined the Navy and served his country for five years. In 1945 he returned from overseas and started more studies at the University of Winnipeg. He met his wife Betty and got married in 1946 and they raised two sons. Clarence was employed at the Post Office and later entered the "Department of National Defence." In 1976 he retired and enjoyed life travelling to different parts of the world with his wife Betty. He enjoyed winters in Tucson, AZ, USA and also many cruises to Europe and the Caribbean. At his request cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations may be made to a charity of their choice. Farewell to all until we meet again. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses and others at Grace Hospital as wonderful care providers. To my husband, Dad and Grandpa In our hearts you will always stay. We love you and miss you. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
