Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLLOYD ARTHUR RUSHWORTH June 13, 1927 - September 25, 2002 It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of our dearly loved husband, father, grandfather and friend on Wednesday, September 25, 2002 at the Health Science Centre. To always love and cherish his memory, he leaves his wife and best friend of 53 years Winnifred; his daughters, Terri-Lynn; Patti (Michael) Fless; two grandsons, Michael and Kevin Fless; his best buddies and his sister-in-law Lil Waletzky, along with many relatives and dear friends. Lloyd was a devoted and loyal employee of Ashdowns for 22 years. Then with Deilcraft Furniture a division of Electrohome until his retirement in 1992. He won many awards in sales, etc. and made many lifelong friends along the way. He joined the army as a boy bugler at the age of 14 and retired as a Captain with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles in the mid 1970s. Lloyd loved his many summers at Spruce Sands Resort, where he was known as the "Supervisor" of the camp and welcomed and chatted with all passerbys. It will never be the same without his welcoming spirit. Most of all his love and devotion to his family came first in his life. He was always there to help when needed and showed his love to them in many countless ways. The family wish to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and the Health Science Centre for their kindness and support they extended to Lloyd and his family. We also wish to thank all of our family and friends who have been so loving and supportive in our time of need. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 30 at 2:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 815 Inkster Blvd. with Pastor Don Engel officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lloyds memory to Christ Lutheran Church, 815 Inkster Blvd. Winnipeg, R2X 1N3, The Childrens Wish Foundation or a charity of their choice.
