Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEUPHEMIA (FAY) MARGARET PETERS / WIENS (nee LAWSON) March 20, 1930 - September 25, 2002 Our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother found a much deserved eternal peace after a two-month long courageous battle with cancer. Comforting her at the time of her passing on September 25, 2002, at the Morris General Hospital were two of her daughters. Fay is survived by her children, Margery (Louis) Duval, Mary Peters and husband Doug Marks, Joyce (Doug) Penner and Fred (Heather) Peters; seven grandchildren, Corrie Sabourin, Liane Sabourin, Danielle (David) Bruneau, Brian (Carissa) Comeault, Leslie Comeault, Darryl Comeault, Steven Peters and fiancee Jeryn Matthies; five great-grandchildren, Logan and Chase Sabourin, Alana, Rylee and Olivia Bruneau; and also survived by special friend Elmer Sommer and his family. She was predeceased by her father Fredrick Lawson, mother Agnes (Nancy) Beckett, step-father Sidney Beckett, brother Ed Lawson, husband and father of her children Jake Peters, and husband John Wiens. Fay loved her family, flowers, yard, music, travel (especially a special trip to Ireland with her daughter Mary), china, and her special canine companion, Buttons. She always made a special effort to attend and note birthdays and anniversaries of family and friends and the recitals and school events of her grandchildren. She was honoured to be asked to be the pianist for the Morris Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion and was a faithful member of the Morris United Church of Canada choir. She also sang with the Prairie Chaff Interdenominational Choir. Fay was employed with the Morris-Macdonald School Division administration office from 1973 until her retirement in 1995. She loved her work with the Division and her fellow employees, particularly the school bus drivers. A celebration of Fays life will be held at the Morris United Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, with the Reverends Bob Stark and Jeannette Brigit officiating. Viewing will be between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27 at Morris Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank Dr. Bob Manness, the staff of the Morris General Hospital and the Palliative Care Volunteers for their care and support during Moms time at the hospital over the past seven weeks; also family and friends who visited and/or sent flowers, food and cards.
