LOUIS WOOD July 7, 1935 - September 24, 2002 It is with sadness to announce the passing of Louis Wood at Health Sciences Centre. Louis was born in St. Theresa Point, MB. He was predeceased by both parents. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth for 49 years; children, Myrtle McDougall (Jack), Jackson Wood (Vicki), Colleen Mason (Clement), Brenda Harper (Kirk) and brother-in-law Noel Harper (Maggie Jane) sisters, Delia Flett, Sally Mason, Pauline Wood Steiman (Rodney), Monica Manoakeesick (John Louis), Lucy Wood, Rita Walker (Rickie) brothers, Roy A. Mason, Darrell C. Mason; stepfather Johnson Mason, step sisters, Annette Harper, Rubina Little and Jane Ross (Leonard). He had 22 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His adopted son John George Harper. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews, friends and relatives. Louis was CHR for 32 years, board member of a community airline. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a great hunter. Prayers were held at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, Wednesday, September 25 at 7:00 p.m. Wake services will be at St. Theresa Point, Thursday and Friday, September 26 and 27. Funeral services will be at St. Theresa Point Roman Catholic Church, Saturday, September 28 at 1:00 p.m., Fr. Robert officiating. Interment to follow at St. Theresa Point Cemetery. He took us into his home He shared his wisdom, his heart and his smile. He cared and loved us as his own. So father, your smile and pleasant face are a pleasure to recall Your kind words for each and you died beloved by all. So some day we hope to meet you, we know not when, Hope to clasp your hand in better land and never to part again.
