PETER FROESE Suddenly, on September 24, 2002, at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, Peter Froese, beloved husband of Jessie, of Grunthal, passed away at the age of 65 years. Together with his wife, they operated a family farm near Grunthal since 1972. In addition to his farming, he participated in a variety of organizations and was devoted to local politics. For 12 years Peter served as the Ward 6 Councillor for the R.M. of Hanover, and was intent upon securing another four year term in the upcoming municipal elections. Peter leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Jessie; five children, Edwin (Maryann) Froese, Beverly (Eddie) Pylypjuk, Bradley (Kim) Froese, Jody (Robert) Krentz all of Grunthal and Lisa (Darcy) Gryba of Mitchell; and 14 grandchildren. He is also survived by his father Peter H. Froese, three sisters and one brother, and many relatives and friends. Peter was predeceased by his mother Helen Froese on September 4, 2001. The viewing will take place on Friday, September 27, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., followed by a meditation at Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2:00 p.m. at the Bergthaler Mennonite Church in Grunthal, with Pastor Ed Wiebe officiating. Interment will follow in the Grunthal Cemetery. In his honour, donations may be made to the Grunthal Community Centre Arena. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach. 204-326-1351.
