ANNE JOAN NAZER (HUHTALA)
Date of Passing: Sep 22, 2002
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE JOAN NAZER (HUHTALA) Mom passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 22, 2002 at the age of 93 years, at Fred Douglas Lodge. Mom was born and raised in the New Finland area of Saskatchewan prior to her marriage to Peter. She spent much of her retirement years lawn bowling at St. Johns Park with Dad. For seven years they lived in the outside apartments at Fred Douglas Lodge. Mom spent much of her time at the sewing machine making clothing repairs for the residents of the Lodge. She was also very active with the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Mom spent many a Thursday night helping at the dinners at the Eagles Club on Dagmar Street. Mom was predeceased by her husband Peter and son Melvin. She is survived by her son Larry (Linda) grandsons Ron (Sandra), Kevin (Leanne) and granddaughter Susan Fielding (George) and great-grandson Dylan Thomas Fielding. Our deepest thanks are extended to Fred Douglas Lodge, especially to the staff on Willow Unit, for the high level of compassionate care provided to Mom over the last one and a half years. A private family service has taken place and Mom now rests at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fred Douglas Lodge Chapel Fund or a charity of your choice.
