MAURICE LEON GENDREAU In the early morning of September 27, Maurice (Moe) Gendreau, beloved husband of Rose (nee Buma) passed away at the age of 57 years. Maurice was born in Ste. Rose du Lac on May 31, 1945, son of Claude (nee Olivier) the late Adrien Gendreau. Maurice leaves to mourn his passing and cherish many fond memories his wife Rose; his children, Christine, Lisa, Erin, Rachel and Michael; his mother Claude; his brother, Armand; his sister Aline (Frank) Parent; his cousin Rose Marie Rose and his special friend of many years Fred Pantel all of Winnipeg. Maurice was employed for 34 years with CN Rail, retiring in 2000. Maurices passions in life were his family and friends, and all things mechanical. Many of us will remember Maurice for his selfless assistance in our times of need. Funeral service for Maurice will be held on Tuesday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ste. Rose de Lima Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Rose du Lac, MB. Fr. Michel Nault will officiate with the service concluding at the church. Viewing will be offered one hour prior to the service. Active pallbearers will be Joel Parent, Ed Pelland, Garth Robertson, Kim Robertson, Jean Louis Gendreau, and Gilles Dufort. All of Maurices long time friends and acquaintances may consider themselves as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes to make a donation is encouraged to give to the Childrens Wish Foundation, a charity dear to Maurices heart. We would like to thank all of the nursing staff and doctors at the Dauphin General Hospital who were involved in his care. We all loved Maurice so very much and miss him dearly. Goodbye Maurice, you will remain in our hearts forever. Ste. Rose Memorial Chapel, Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba, in care of arrangements. (204) 447-2444.
