ETHEL HOFFER (nee RABINOVITCH) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Ethel Hoffer, aged 79 years, on September 18, 2002 at St. Boniface Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Louis and Irene Rabinovitch and her beloved husband Ephraim, she leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Robin (Harold) Drutz, Susan (Bob) Weinper, both of Toronto, Pamela (Richard) Wolson and Michael (Helene) Hoffer of Winnipeg; her grandchildren, Sarah, Daniel, Melissa, Vanessa, Ilyse and Emma; her siblings, Rose (Abe) Rosen of Calgary, David (Sheila) Rabb of Winnipeg, and Merle Schwartz of Palm Springs, California. Ethel passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness during which she remained totally selfless, while showing great courage and dignity, thinking only of her family during this difficult time. She was as beautiful in spirit as she was in stature and demeanour and we will always love and adore her. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ralph Wong and his nurse Cathy, Dr. Benson Yip, Dr. E. Salamon, Dr. Larry Tan and the staff of Ward 5A South of the St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care during Ethels stay in hospital.
