MARGARET ALICE IRWIN (COBBE) Passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2002, at the MacGregor Personal Care Home, Margaret Alice Irwin, aged 63 years. Margaret was born on March 4, 1939, at Makaraf, MB, and at the age of one month, moved with her family to MacGregor where she grew up and received her education. She worked for the Manitoba Telephone System as operator and head operator for 13 years. In 1969 she married Gordon Irwin and they moved to Calgary. In 1970 they returned to Winnipeg, and Margaret worked as a desk clerk at the Kirkfield Motor Hotel for 20 years. In 1992 she contracted M.S. and quit work because of failing health. In 1996 Margaret and Gordon moved to Portage la Prairie and in 2000 Margaret moved to MacGregor Care Home. Predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Garry Cobbe and Howard Cobbe; and one sister Helen Cameron. Surviving are her husband Gordon of MacGregor; brother Gerald and Doreen Cobbe of Portage la Prairie; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In accordance with Margarets wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the MacGregor Health Foundation, Box 250, MacGregor, MB, R0H 0R0. Clarkes Funeral Home, MacGregor in care of arrangements.
