Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER KUC Peacefully in the arms of his family our dear husband, father and grandfather passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2002 at the age of 87. Peter was born on April 6, 1915 in selo Nibyci, Radachibski rayon, Libiska oblast, Ukraine. Because of the Second World War, Peter was compelled to leave his homeland and eventually settled in Germany for a short time, where he met and married his wife of 57 years, Anna. They were blessed with the birth of their daughter Helen. In 1948 they immigrated to Canada and settled in Winnipeg. They were blessed again with the birth of their son Andrew. Peter was employed by Sterling Cloak until his retirement. He took an avid interest in the Ukrainian Community and actively participated as choir director at Prosvita and cantor in several Ukrainian churches. He also was an active musician at church events. Besides his loving wife Anna, Peter is survived by son Andrew; daughter Helen (Tony) grandchildren, Lisa and Anthony, family in Ukraine, nephews and nieces, the Alves and Prazers families. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 30 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 1 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. with Rev. M. Kouts officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Seven Oaks Hospital ER staff for their promptness and caring manner. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Forever in our hearts.
