ELEANOR MARY PFEIFER December 8, 1916 - September 25, 2002 Peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2002, at the age of 85 in Boyne Lodge, Carman, MB. Predeceased by husband Herman in June, 1986. Eleanor (nee Geiss) was raised in the Brunkild area. She and Herman married in 1935 and together, they farmed in the Starbuck area (Ferndale) for 40 years. Through the last of those years, Eleanor also worked at Eatons in Winnipeg. On retiring from farming in 1974, they moved to Carman where Eleanor owned and operated the White-Elna Sewing Centre until 1985. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by daughters, Trudy Shirtliffe (Clifford) of Ottawa, ON and Patricia Lewco (Lawrence) of Victoria, BC; six grandchildren, Glenn Shirtliffe, Pasadena, CA, Dawna Gunter (Garth), Ogden, UT, Lori Hunt (Douglas), Winnipeg, Teresa Aldred (Patrick), Sidney, BC, Roberta Fisher (Kerry), Spruce Grove, AB, Leslie Lewco, Victoria, BC; and nine great-grandchildren, Devon, Jonathon, Breanna, Brett, Joshua, Ryan, Katherine, Geena and Joe. Funeral service will be held from Doyles Funeral Chapel, Carman, MB on Monday, September 30 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ron Vert officiating. Interment to follow at Sanford Cemetery, Sanford, MB. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 205 Edmonton St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 1R4 or to a charity of ones choice.
