FRANCES ROZUMIAK (nee KIJANKA) Frances Rozumiak, born October 28, 1917 in Winnipeg, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 24, 2002 at The Richmond Hospital, Richmond, BC. She was the beloved wife of the late Myron, (also known as Mar/Mike) who passed on in 1989. Frances will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her only son Myron (Major) and his wife Dianne; grandchildren, Estelle (Ian), Shane (Debra-Anne), Tanya (Curtis) and Krista (Sean) her great-grandchildren, William, Christa, Noah, Natasha, Jessica, and Hannah; sisters, Helen Leban of Winnipeg and Mary Scraba of Matlock; sister-in-law Marie Redfern of Hope, BC; and nieces and nephews and friends. As per Frances wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment and prayers in the Garden of Reflection at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Burnaby, BC will be held on Monday, September 30 at 2:00 p.m. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Michael Myckatyn and the nursing staff of 3 South at The Richmond Hospital, who cared for Frances over the past two months. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association and/or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
