PAUL ALEX Mr. Paul Alex, aged 74 years, beloved husband of Luzia of Whitemouth, MB, passed away suddenly at his residence on Friday, September 27, 2002. Besides his wife Luzia of 44 years of marriage, he leaves to mourn his passing, his son Josef of Whitemouth; his daughter Regina Salker (Mathias) of Germany; his son Artur of Whitemouth; three grandchildren, Christina, Franziska, and Lisa-Sofia; as well as cousins and numerous relatives in Germany and the United States. He was predeceased by his son Klemens in 1984 and his parents, Paul Sr. in 1971 and Martha in 1970. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, October 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour. Friends may view on Tuesday afternoon as well as prior to the prayers. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the Notre Dame du Lac Roman Catholic Church, Lac du Bonnet, MB, with Rev. Fr. R. Machura officiating. Interment will follow in the Lac du Bonnet cemetery. Honourary pallbearers will be Josef Hodel, Paul Dankwart, Adolf Buttner, Gustav Rossol, Johann Hinrichs, Fritz Dollberg and Werner Bahde. Active pallbearers will be Rudolf Dankwart, Martin Saxler, Markus Hodel, Ken Kroker, Otto Marohn, and Albert Gloor. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Paul Alex may be made to the Notre Dame du Lac Roman Catholic Church, Lac du Bonnet, MB, ROE 1AO.
