ROBERT JOHN JONES Peacefully, on Sunday, September 29, 2002 at the Rideau Park Personal Care Home, Robert John Jones of Brandon, beloved son of Effie Jones passed away at the age of 64 years. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home, Portage la Prairie, on Wednesday, October 2 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the family plot at Hillside Cemetery. Robert was born on June 24, 1938, son of Russell and Effie Jones at Portage la Prairie where he was raised and received his education. Due to an accident, Robert was unable to be employed. He resided with his parents for several years before moving to reside in Winnipeg. For the past five years he had been a resident of the Rideau Park Personal Care Home in Brandon. Robert was predeceased by his father, Russell. He leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his loving memory his mother, Effie; one aunt of Vancouver, BC and several cousins in Winnipeg and Vancouver. He will be sadly missed by his friends and the staff at Rideau Park Personal Care Home. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Rideau Park Personal Care Home in Brandon for taking such good care of Robert.
