Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE WILKINSON LENTON Sadly on Monday, September 30, 2002, with his family by his side George Wilkinson Lenton of Winnipeg, passed away at the age of 87, at St. Boniface Hospital. George leaves to mourn his passing his wife Margaret (Shea) his sons, Ken (Pat) and Larry (Louise) his grandchildren, Kyle, Laura, Julia and Emily; sister Marjorie Lenton; brothers, Don and Wally; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. George was predeceased by his first wife Louise Adele (Laufersweiler). Dad was born January 20, 1915 in Ridgeville, MB to Fred Lenton and Lily (Wilkinson), and was raised on a small farm east of Ridgeville. Dad was no stranger to hard work and enjoyed the outdoors. He left farming in 1946 to work for the Canadian National Railways retiring in 1981. Dad enjoyed many years of good health during his retirement, remaining active with his passion for golfing, bowling, gardening and cooking (he made great pies), up to the last year. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 3 at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre.
