Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySAMUEL WILLIAM BAXTER "BILL" Early Sunday morning, September 29, 2002, William Baxter beloved husband of Mary Joyce (Fisher), passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 79 after a lengthy struggle with Parkinsons. Besides his loving wife of 55 years, he leaves to mourn his sons, Craig (Rhonda), Ron (Debbie) and daughter Shelley (John) Steffensen; grandchildren, Dana (Peter) Holford, Jaime Steffensen, Bryce, Colin and Shane Baxter, Julie and Chad Baxter. He is survived by his brothers, Gordon (Rita) and Garth (Betty-Anne). He also mourned the recent loss of his sister, Bernice Ripley. Bill was a very kind and sincere person, always ready to assist family and friends. He grew up in the Fort Garry area and enjoyed his many friends and neighbours his entire life time. He served four and one half years in the R.C.A.F. After the war he was a proud employer of Canada Cement Lafarge. Family, golf and curling were his relaxing time. He served as President of Pembina Curling club in 1972-73. A celebration of Bills life will be held on Friday, October 4 at 1:30 p.m. in the Ft. Garry United Church, 800 Point Rd., with Rev. Gordon Taylor officiating. A private family interment will take place in the Oak Bluff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire donation to Ft. Garry United Church and Victoria General Hospital Foundation, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB, R3T 9Z9, would be appreciated. The family wishes to thank the many people who assisted us during Bills illness. We will forever miss you. Your beautiful smile and the twinkle in your eyes, and the love you gave to all of us.
