BLAIR DAWE November 23, 1950- September 30, 2002 It is with great sadness that the family of Blair Dawe wishes to announce his sudden passing. Mourning his loss is his wife, Gail Nep, and his children Tiresa Dawe, and Dustin Shore. Blair was a dedicated support worker for Winnipeg Child and Family Services. He provided services to numerous families, and sincerely loved and cared for each child. He fought endlessly to make positive changes in the lives of children. He did this at an Agency level, as well as in his personal life. He will be missed more than anyone could ever believe. Since it is always a social workers goal to have made a difference in the world, we can celebrate Blairs life and achievements. Blair was also the co-owner of Uptown Fine Art, and this other passion filled his and Gails hearts with many friends from the art community. Blair was a mentor to his nephews, Leonard, David, and Michael Numerow, and their families. He cherished those relationships, and spent many joyful family occasions with his sister-in-law Evelyn Numerow (Sam Brownstone), brother-in-law Jerry (Doreen) Nep, and lately Dustins girlfriend, Rachel McDonald. Gail and Blair shared an especially close relationship and few marriages were as happy. Soul mates, they enjoyed many activities together revelling in just being with each other. This love spilled over to include their many dear friends. Our lives will seem emptier without his strength, his laughter, and his good common sense. He will forever remain in our hearts. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 4, at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
