ALICE NORAH ROHL July 6, 1937- October 1, 2002 Alice passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at the St. Boniface General Hospital with her children at her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Kurt (Cindy) Brad (Shelly) Lisa (Kelvin) and Jason (Vivian). She also leaves behind her six grandchildren, Jennifer, Regan, Ethan, Owen, Braxton and Keenan; sisters Janice and Grace; brothers, Harvey, Ed, Allan, Jim and Gorden; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends; and her special cat Tabitha. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Norah Knowles and her sister, Joyce. Alice was born and raised in Gypsumville. She came to Winnipeg to attend Normal School where she received her teaching certificate. She lived and raised her four children in St. Martin. Over the years Alice remained an active volunteer in various organizations and she enjoyed travelling the world. Mum will be remembered as an intelligent and strong willed woman with a quick wit. We miss her already. She would like to say thank you and farewell to her golfing companions and the many friends she made while volunteering at the Seniors Centre. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Friday, October 4 at 12:30 p.m at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow the service with a private family interment taking place in St. Vital Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit of St. Boniface General Hospital, 409 Tache St., Winnipeg, MB, R3H 2A5.
