Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE HANNAH BROWN (nee RAMSAY) Irene Brown passed away on October 1, 2002 at the Assiniboine Centre in Brandon. Deep appreciation is extended to Dr. Duncan and the staff of A3. John, her beloved husband of 53 years deceased her in 1994 and now they are together again. Irene was born in 1923 at St. Boniface, MB to Roy and Hilda Ramsay. Irene pioneered as a working mother at jobs ranging from, "Rosie the Riveter" during the war, to caring for handicapped children at St. Amant Centre. A light outlook at life, a highly infectious laugh and a stubborn determination, combined to create a truly unique individual. Irene will be missed by friends and family, son Roy Brown (Jane) and daughter Corinne Kulbisky (Garry). Grandchildren include Mike Brown (Sharon) and great-granddaughters, Christine and Meghan; David, Danny and Julie Brown, Gordon Kulbisky (Carrie) and Chris Kulbisky. She was predeceased by sisters, Thelma Kennedy and Lorraine Bodnar. Cremation has taken place and will be followed by interment at St. Vital Cemetery, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers donations in Irenes memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements are with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 204-727-0330.
