VIOLET DEMOLINE (nee LAMBERT) Peacefully on October 1, 2002, Violet passed away at the Charleswood Care Centre. Violet was predeceased by her husband Edward in 1944 and a daughter Vira in 1977, as well as her mother and father John and Emma Lambert; and five brothers, John, Willard, Roy, Harry and Leonard. She is survived by daughter Marlene Blowers of Winnipeg; and sons, Rodney (Adele) of Lac du Bonnet, Willard (Sylvia) of Falun, AB, and Dwayne (Carol) of Red Deer, AB; 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; as well as dear friend Marg Einerson and family, Ellen, George and Murray Webster. Violet was born in Swan River on February 19, 1909, and grew up there on her parents farm. In 1934 she married Edward Demoline and they lived in town until 1940, the family relocated to Kirkland Lake, ON. After Eds death in 1944 she returned with the family to Swan River where she lived and raised her children. In 1967 she moved to Winnipeg to work at Riverhouse where she stayed until she retired; after some travelling, she moved back to the home place in Swan River. In 1992 she decided to sell her home in Swan and move to Winnipeg to be closer to her family. She maintained her own apartment until last year and then moved to the Charleswood Care Centre. Funeral services will be held at Paull Funeral Home on Monday October 7 at 2:00 p.m. in Swan River with interment in Birchwood Cemetery. Our family extends special thanks to the staff at the Charleswood Care Centre for their loving care.
