GERTRUDE ALICE FENN Gertrude passed away Thursday, October 3, 2002 at Tuxedo Villa Nursing Home in Winnipeg. Gertrude was born February 16, 1913 in Parry Sound, ON and lived most of her life in Toronto. Her family was most important to her. She leaves to mourn her passing, her sister-in-law Louise (Betty) Fenn; niece Mary McMillan (Dr. Willis G.) of Madison WI and Naples, FL her family, John McMillan (Caroline), Ian and Benjamin of Scottsdale, AZ, Sheryl Lambert (Michael), Axton and Madison of San Diego, CA; niece Barbara Ryan (Russell) her family, Paul and Susan all of Winnipeg; and many friends in Toronto. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Ella Fenn and her only brother William Edward in 1998. Gertrude loved her home and garden, her times at the family cottage in Muskoka, at Lake of the Woods, and Nanaimo, BC. She was very interested in art and enjoyed doing water colours and oils. She loved music and was an accomplished pianist. She travelled extensively in her earlier years. She worked for the Federal Government in the Income Tax Department in Toronto and retired early to care for her aging parents. She was a longtime dedicated volunteer at Sunnybrook Hospital and an active member of Manor Road United Church. A private family service will be held in Toronto. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Many thanks to the competent and caring staff at Tuxedo Villa. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
