Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE HARRY ROY JAMIESON May 12, 1943 - September 18, 2002 Roy is survived by his immediate family, sons, Chris and Tim; his brother Monsignor Ward Jamieson; sister Randee (Gary) Einarson; his nephews, David (Carrie), Jamie (girlfriend Lisa), Cory (Tricia), Jeff (girlfriend Sherri) his more recent family Val, her children and her extended family. He is remembered by Jennifer, the mother of his sons. Roy was predeceased by his parents, George and Ruth Jamieson. He was exceptionally loved by many, and will be deeply missed by old friends and new. After leaving Winnipeg, Roy lived in Windsor, ON, Calgary and more recently Edmonton, AB. A Mass of Thanksgiving to God for Roys life will be held on Wednesday, October 9 at 7:30 p.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Ave. with his brother Rev. Msgr. Ward Jamieson presiding. A reception will follow, private interment of ashes at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Today my father would have celibrated his 72 birthday. I imagine him swinging away on the golf course, enjoying a cold beer in the sun, celebrating after making a really long putt. All before one of his famous cook outs in the back yard all his close friends and family would be there. I imagine him telling a really funny story And every one in falling out of their seats in laughter. I imagine him enjoying life as he did and spending his birthday the way he would have Wanted it.
