EINAR LINDAL Peacefully on October 3, 2002, at his home in Lundar, Einar Lindal, aged 81 years of Lundar, MB. Einar was born May 25, 1921 in Winnipeg. He spent two years in the army. After returning home from the war, he spent his life fishing and freighting for his brother Duke up north. He also fished on Lake Manitoba with Mickey Bergthorson. Dad was the youngest of 16 children. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. In later years, he loved to take rides in the country with his old friends. He loved to stop and visit on his drives with friends and neighbours. Dad was a very unselfish person, he always tried to help his family whenever he could. Dad will be sadly missed. He leaves to mourn his daughters, Patsy, Susan, and Linda; one son Harold (Arlene) of Lundar; one sister Elin of Winnipeg; his grandchildren, Terri (Donny), Rob (Joni), Tim (Susie), April, Sandy (Patrick), Nadine, Clinton, Pam, Lana, Sheldon, Samantha, and Kevin; his great-grandchildren, Alex, Chelsea, and Madisson. Also many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Sophia and John as well as his brothers, Oliver, Dan, George, Bill, Asgeir, Emil, Frank, Steini, and John and his sisters, Helga, Thora (Tody), Bertha, Laura, and Laufey. Funeral service will be held on Monday October 7 at 2:00 p.m at the Lundar Legion Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the Lundar Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Neil Burnet, Dr. Teidt and staff at the E. M. Crowe Memorial Hospital for the care given to Dad over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association 102-310 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 9Z9 or to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6.
