GLADYS JULIET McOUSTRA Peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2002, Gladys Juliet McOustra, aged 86, died at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB. Gladys was predeceased by her father David and her stepmother Lizzie and was survived by her cousin Edith Williams and family of Wales, U.K. She was an adopted member of the Hamblin family on Morley Avenue. Gladys was born in Winnipeg and attended Lord Roberts and Kelvin High School. She spent her working years with Canada Post in Ottawa and Winnipeg, where she retired in 1981 as Staffing Officer. She was a longtime member of Riverview United Church (now Churchill Park) and frequently attended the Rendezvous Club at Riverview Health Centre. Gladys appreciated the support and assistance that she received from the nurses, particularly Judith and Dale, as well as the many homecare workers, and in particular Kathy, whose services allowed her to remain in her home that was so important to her. A memorial reception to be held on Monday, October 7 at 1:00 p.m. at 400 Osborne St., Winnipeg.
