ZULMA (ZEL) PELISSE On October 4, 2002 with her family by her side, Zulma Pelisse (Tanghe) passed away at Concordia Place Personal Care Centre at the age of 82 years. She was predeceased by her husband Marcel in 1991. Zel is survived by her four children, Robert, Doreen, Shelley Nightingale (Jim) and Jo-Anne Spearman; as well as her grandchildren, Shannon and Lisa, Daniel, Justine and J.J. She is also survived by her sister, Leona Ducharme and numerous nieces and nephews. She was born in St. Boniface in 1919 and lived most of her life there until her husbands retirement in 1977 when they moved to Oakbank, MB. While there, she was very involved with the local Senior Citizens group, as well as still maintaining her ties with the Belgian Club. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and bingo, but one of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of Concordia Place for the excellent care they provided over the past few years and for their concern and kind thoughts during her final illness. In accordance with Zels wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 4, at 10:00 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Highway No. 1 East at Navin Rd. Interment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
