Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA ANN (JACKSON) RODNUNSKY 1934 - 2002 Patricia was born on the farm near Inglis, MB, to James Jackson and Bessie Bell (Corden) on March 18, 1934. She attended Lockerby School, a one-room country schoolhouse, from grades one to nine. Grades ten to twelve were taken in the Russell Collegiate High School in Russell, MB. She then attended the Normal School in Winnipeg and became an elementary school teacher. After her marriage to Albert Rodnunsky in 1955, they lived and worked in Winnipeg, Lethbridge and Edmonton. Their three sons were all born in Canada and in 1972 they moved to Los Angeles, CA. The Rodnunsky family in California is Jim and Lisa; Serge and Susan; Pierre and Janice. Patricia hated to leave behind the lovely little grandchildren she waited so long to receive. Tia, Daniel and Ally; Allegra; and Hannah and Emily will miss their grandma very much. Her husband Albert predeceased Patricia in 1998 and her father Jim Jackson in 1955 and mother Bessie Jackson in 1997. Mourning siblings are Mildred (Paul) Galatiuk, Stanley (Carol) Jackson, Betty (Bruce Smith) Jackson, Winston (Marlise) Jackson. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends will also sadly miss her. Patricia was very creative. Her most recent effort was a movie script to be shot in Manitoba. She designed and published patterns for macrame. She operated a craft supply business in LA. Green Gables, a retail and teaching center for quilting, upholstery, drapery and crafting items, was her final business. She managed the business details of movie making for her sons. Her home was the meeting place for all with wonderful food and lots of commotion. The grandkids loved it at Grandmas house (so did the big kids). Her trips home to Manitoba were special for her. Remembering her youth and the fun she had here. Especially the barn dances held in the Jacksons barn on the farm. The funeral was held at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Chatsworth, CA. Her family and her friends will celebrate her life on October 13, 2002 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at 2 Pawnee Bay, Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to your local Cancer Research Foundation or your local Hospice Unit.
