GARY WADE THIEVIN Gary Wade Thievin of Woodlands, with his wife and family at his side, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on October 3, 2002, at the age of 37. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Teresa; daughter Crystal; mother Alice Bowman and stepfather Dale Bowman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Rex Hatcher, Lori-Ann and Garth Buors, Cindy and Joe Petrowski; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Claudette Thievin. His in-laws, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ken and Della Campbell; brothers and sister-in-law, Brian Campbell, Kevin and Tina Campbell. Grandparents, Elizabeth Thievin and John and Anne Bozowy. Buors, TJ and Angela Petrowski, Vincent, Lisa, Lorne, John and Kurtis Campbell. Numerous friends, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Richard (Dick) Thievin and nephew Curtis Thievin. Gary was born on November 2, 1964, at Teulon Hospital. His love of the farm and horses started at an early age. He treasured the hours of hard work it took to help out on the family farm. He loved the smell of spring in the air and of the crops ripening for harvest. Tinkering with his old John Deeres was his favourite pastime. He loved it when he could get one running and listen to the old Johnny popping. Gary worked for the Atomic for 18 years. During his years there he won numerous awards for his driving skills. Gary was known as a down-to-earth kind of man. Always with a quick smile and a quick remark that would make you laugh. He had a remarkable calmness about him that when in his presence you felt special. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling but best of all just good old horsing around. On Christmas Day he enjoyed time with the families and when it was gift time he could be just as bad as the kids. Garys (REDNECK) sense of humour stayed with him even on the rough days. Live, love and laugh was how Gary lived his life. A prayer service will be held on Sunday, October 6 at 7:00 p.m. in MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Interment will follow in St. Oswald Cemetery. Pallbearers are Roland Kubel, Greg Fisher, Dennis Fedorachuck, Ed DeLaraque, Joe Dupont and Rob Scott. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the CancerCare Foundation, 109 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. Acceptance The chapters of the year are four, Nature has ordered it so. They merge from one into the other: The youth of spring growing into summer And slowly dropping To the heralding of its end, Where autumn reluctantly releases it To winters long cold dying. But all done with natural grace, No fear on its face As on mine and thine. Lord, let me be like the tree And end with the seasons In dignity. Catherine Cookson MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.

One amazing and missed always uncle and father to an incredible lady! One of my many and most memorable times would be on the back of his skidoo! We hit a nice jump and I hung on for dear life! When we landed I couldn't stop laughing. Or the time he was showing me the electric fence! He always had a trick up his sleeve! Always laughing and positive! Missed always!! - Posted by: Richard Wade Thievin (Nefew) on: Nov 22, 2015
