DIEDRICH DUECK It is with great sadness that the family of Diedrich Dueck announces his sudden passing on October 5, 2002 at the age of 72. He leaves to mourn his wife Edna, of 43 years; children and grandchildren, Sherilyn (Doug - Melisa and Allison Mathieu), Phyllis Dueck, Cameron (Monika - Meaghan, Kayla, Christopher and Michael Dueck), Lauren (Terri - Stuart and Patrick Dueck) and Lillian (Jim - Braedan and Justin Haacke). Also mourning are his sisters and brothers, Helen Kehler, John (Anne) Dyck, Mary (Diedrich) Groening, Peter (Helen) Dueck, Jake (Darlene) Dyck, Susan (Bill) Dueck, Ben (Brenda) Dyck; numerous nieces and nephews and their families and many friends. Diedrich had a very strong work ethic and commitment to his family. He worked for over 37 years as a shipper/receiver with Buhler Industries Inc. (previously Malco, Allied Farm Equipment and Farm King Allied) in Winnipeg. After his retirement from Buhler Industries in 1995, he enjoyed working the family farm in the Gretna area. Viewing will be held at the Wiebe Funeral Home, Altona on Wednesday, October 9 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 10 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gretna Bergthaler Church. Internment to follow in the Edenberg Cemetery, Gretna. In lieu of flowers, donations in Diedrichs memory may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
