Madeleine was born March 22, 1909, in St. Vital, MB. She was predeceased by her loving husband Raymond; and beloved daughter Louise; brothers, Maurice, Marcel, Leo, Bazil, Rene; and sisters, Mary and Georgina. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her sons, Jules and George (Margaret) daughter Marie (Frank) sister Ida; brother George; and many, many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. On January 12, 1925, Madeleine married Raymond Dupre. Their first home was a log house on a piece of property called a homestead. They worked very hard to clear the land. In November, they were blessed with twins and later two more children. In 1945, they left their mixed farm and purchased the Milne Block (later known as Dupre Block) where they resided until 1973. Madeleine was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Church, the C.W.L. and the ladies afternoon group. Many happy hours were also spent at the Senior Centre. For the past six and one-half years she received excellent care in the nursing home. Her family is truly grateful for the dedicated and loving care given her by the staff and workers. She was known as "Grandma" to all. Prayers will be said this evening, Tuesday, October 8, at 7:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St with Fr. Gary Killen officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Wednesday, October 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Parish, 425 Rosseau Ave. East with Fr. Ed Bonin officiating. Interment at Transcona Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to the Park Manor Personal Care Home, 301 Redonda St., Winnipeg, MB R2C 1L7. Earl Haywood. My granny was the best she would take me to church every time I would stay with her. My best childhood memories were with her. I miss her dearly and I miss the family of my uncle Frank and auntie Marie very much..... let's raise a glass in remembrance of a beautiful lady, mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. - Posted by: Earl Haywood (Great-grandson) on: May 02, 2019
