CHE MARGARET MCDIARMID (DROVER) 1917 - 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Che at the age of 85 years. Che was predeceased by her parents, John and Louise Drover; husband Ross; daughter Margaret Houston; son John; and son-in-law Bert Molinski. she will be sadly missed by her daughter Anne Molinski; son-in-law William Houston; grandchildren, Margaret Molinski, Kimberley Dane, Donald Houston (Kit) great-grandchildren, Meg, Blake and Sarah; niece Joy McDiarmid; nephews, Donald and Gordon McDairmid; and long-time friend Sheila Bloomer. Che spent the early years of her marriage to Ross traveling the country as a Navy wife and mother, before settling in Winnipeg where she received her second university degree and taught for several years at Balmoral Hall School. Known to all as "Gran," she always enjoyed her summers at Minaki, her dogs, her reading, the company of her family, her friends, her childrens friends and also those of her grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 9 at 1:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. Should friends so desire donations in Grans memory may be made to the St. Boniface General Hospital Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2H 9Z9 or The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1X3.
