EDITH DORIS McLEAN (LOWE) Edith Doris McLean (Lowe), widow of the late Gordon McLean, passed away peacefully in her 99th year at her residence in Hillcrest Home, where she had resided for the past eight years. Edith was born on December 10, 1903 at Harding, MB. She attended Normal School in Brandon and taught school before she was married. Gordon and Edith resided at different locations while Gordon was employed with United Grain Growers. In 1978, during their 50th year of marriage, Ediths husband predeceased her. Her mother and father, Ethel and Alex Lowe; and brothers, John, Arnold, and Selby also predeceased Edith. She is survived by a sister Hazel (Stafford) Wilts of Ontario, sisters-in-law, Mary Lowe of Brandon and Bernice Lowe of Winnipeg; niece Marilyn McDonald who visited her regularly, as well as several other nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will take place at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Winnipeg. Arrangements are in care of Brockie Donovan, 727-0694.
