GILBERTE AURORE WANLIN (nee MORISSETTE) On Sunday, October 6, 2002 after a brief illness of 17 days, Mrs. Gilberte Wanlin passed away in Victoria Hospitals Intensive Care Unit, at the age of 84. She will be greatly missed by her husband Louis of 54 years, her daughter Jeannette Wanlin, her granddaughter Nicole Jackson, her grandson Colin Jackson and his friend Monique Matthews. She was predeceased by her parents, Achille and Alice Morissette; her sisters, Eva Menard Wanlin, Jeanne Guyot, Annette Painchaud, Marguerite Choquette; her brothers, Paul, Lucien, Leo and Jean. She leaves to mourn sisters-in-law, Marie and Therese Morissette, Theresa Wanlin; brothers-in-law Auguste Wanlin, Joseph Wanlin; many nieces and nephews. Mother lived a full wonderful life dedicated entirely to her family and friends whom she cherished. All those who knew her appreciated her cheerfulness, her warm heart, her generosity. She enjoyed company, playing cards, serving so many delicious meals and making everyone happy. One of her particular interests was the search of family genealogy. She corresponded with relatives in France, Scotland, Alabama, U.S.A. and always kept in contact with them. The family extends special thanks to all the staff, doctors, nurses, attendants at Victoria Hospital who all have shown so much support, kindness and compassion to our mother. A funeral mass celebrating moms life will take place on Wednesday, October 9 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Martyrs Canadiens Church, 289 Dussault Ave., St. Boniface with Fr. J. L. Rocan officiating. Prayers will be said one half hour before the service. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and an interment will be held at a later date in the cemetery in Fannystelle, MB where she was born. In care of arrangements: EDWARD J.
