MARION LORRAINE FRIESEN (nee YOUNG) November 9, 1936 - October 6, 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion, on Sunday, October 6, 2002, at Concordia Hospital, aged 65. Marion was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Young; sister Caroline Miller; infant sister Irene; brothers-in-law, Wally Sklepowich, Herb Klassen, Joe Gluting, Mike Shady and Charlie Miller. Leaving to cherish her memory are her husband Rudy and son Keith. A special pet, Ripple, will miss her also. She is survived by three brothers, William (Irene), Leonard (Irma) and Harold (Inez) five sisters, Dorothy Shady, Helen Gluting, Edna Klann (Harold), Leona Kramble (Chuck), Loretta Sklepowich; and many nieces and nephews. Marion is also survived by her mother-in law Susanna Friesen of Winnipeg; sisters-in-law, Olie Klassen of Calgary, Susan Schulz (Rudy), Edith Robertson (Dave) of Kelowna, Ruth Shier (Vern) of Edmonton; and brother-in-law David Friesen (Sylvia). Marion was born and raised in Thalberg, MB where she attended school and spent her childhood. After her move to Winnipeg she was employed at Eatons and shortly after married Rudy on November 21, 1959. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 11 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. 1 East at Green Acres Lane. Visitation will be held one-half hour prior to the service. Interment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Special thanks go to the wonderful staff of the 3rd floor, West Wing of Concordia Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care during the months that Marion was in hospital.
