FRIEDA GACSI (nee WADIEN) On October 6, 2002 at River East Personal Care Home, Frieda Gacsi died at the age of 82 years. Frieda was born in Germany on October 26, 1919. Left to cherish her memory are sisters, Olga Pleschke, Alma Hess and Hilda (Reinhard) Neske; brothers, Ewald (Elfrieda) Wadien, Reinhold (Betty) Wadien; sisters-in-law, Inge and Ursula Wadien; brother-in-law Elmer Schumpp; and many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by many friends. Frieda was predeceased by her parents, Wanda and Adam Wadien; her loving husband John; brothers, Erich, Erwin and Edmund; sister Ella Schumpp; brothers-in-law, Erwin Hess and Otto Pleschke. The family wishes to thank the staff of E. Wing at River East Personal Care Home for the loving care given to Frieda. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 12 at 9:30 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Interment in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing Friday, October 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3 or to the Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
