ANNE WEBB (nee BONAZEW) On October 6, 2002, Anne Webb, aged 72 completed her lifes journey at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Anne is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Ray Webb; daughter Linda Dyck (Bill) of Vancouver; and sons, Ken (Barbara) of Winnipeg, Patrick (Diane) of Edmonton and "Asher" Richard of Winnipeg. One of Annes greatest joys were her grandchildren, Heather, Ryan, Robin, Meghan, Dylan, Anders, Christopher and Nathan. Anne is also survived by sister Francis McDougall (Bill) of Winnipeg and Bill Bee (Doris) of Calgary. Anne was predeceased by parents, John and Dora; sister Mary; and brothers, Peter, Teddy and George. Annes joy, compassion and generosity of spirit touched the lives of all those around her. Her love and sense of family extended beyond the scope of her immediate relatives. While living in the Yukon and Alberta, she was a surrogate mom and grandma to many children and young adults. Annes cooking was a gift she freely and generously shared. Her perogies, borscht, cabbage rolls and baking were welcome additions to family dinners and community fundraising sales. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit and Acute Palliative Care at Grey Nuns Palliative Care in Edmonton, AB. A memorial service in celebration of Annes life will take place on Friday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. A gathering of family and friends will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0B9, re: Breast Cancer Research.
