Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANET (JEAN) CAMILLA SHEWFELT On Friday, October 11, 2002, Jean Shewfelt peacefully passed away at the St. Norbert Nursing Home at the age of 92 years. Jean was born on January 28, 1910, in Rapid City, MB, and married Ralph Shewfelt on April 23, 1937. She is predeceased by her husband Ralph; mother and father Janet and Harry McIntosh; and brothers, Kitchener, Jimmy, Bill, Earl, Howard and Jack. Jean is survived by one brother Wilfred McIntosh. She will be lovingly and always remembered by her daughter Elaine (Don) Watts; her two sons, Henry (Raine) Shewfelt and Spence McIntosh; five granddaughters and six great-grandsons. Jean devoted her time to her family and grandchildren who brought her many hours of joy and happiness. She was a beautiful homemaker, excellent cook, and challenging bridge player. Jean was a great motivator with outstanding values and a support to friends and family in their times of need. Her involvement and active service in the United Church was rich and rewarding. At Jeans request, cremation has taken place. A service of celebration for the life of Jean Shewfelt will be held on Thursday, October 24, 1:30 p.m. at Springs Church, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB, with pastor Jeff Romas officiating. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the staff at the St. Norbert Nursing Home for their kind and compassionate care.
