Predeceased by his wife Maria of 57 years in August 1996; brothers, Antonio, Joe; and granddaughter Lisa. He is survived by his children, Angelina (Frank) Anania, Maria (Geoff) Smith, Tony (Heather) Grande; his grandchildren, Abelina (Gino) Greco, Mary (David) Jung, Graziella (Tony) Nacimento, Georgina (Trent) Wilke, Deborah (Bill) Preachuk, Julie (Rick) Koppanyi, Gregory (Natasha) Smith, Kimberly Smith; his great-grandchildren, Joshua, Erin, Daniella, Justin, William, Michaela, Aaron, Georga, Nathan, Joshia, Tyler; brothers, Dominque, Frank; sisters, Felicia and Franca. He was born July 13, 1920 in Amato, Italy; married Maria April 22, 1939; immigrated to Canada 1952 and was employed 28 years at C.N.R. Devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all. He lived a simple life, enjoyed gardening and his home. He was a man who knew how to live life to its fullest. His love of people allowed him to befriend easily. Gods mighty hand of protection was evident during his five years encampment during the Second World War. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses who served him during his illness. Prayers will be said on Monday, October 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 22 at 10:00 a.m., also in the church, with Rev.
