FRESNOZA January 26, 1920 - October 19, 2002 It is with the heaviest of hearts and with the deepest sorrow that the family announces the passing of Domingo (Papay) Fresnoza on Saturday, October 19, 2002 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 82 years. Papay is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years Consuelo (Mamay), his children, Floro (Malou), Eduardo (Nita), Jose (Luz), and Agnes; his grandchildren, Paolo, Jacob, Mitchell, Sheldene, Joseph, and Miguel. He will also be greatly missed by his sister Celerina and her family. He was predeceased by his daughter Muriel, his parents, Bernardo and Segundina; and his brothers, Gregorio and Amado. Papay was born in Gubat, Sorsogon, Philippines and married Mamay on June 26, 1944. They immigrated to Winnipeg in June of 1981. Papays passion was playing the violin for his friends, family, and his church. Papay, we are going to miss your kind heart and gentle spirit. You will be laid to rest but never forgotten. The family wishes to thank all the homecare staff who looked after Papay, especially Lili, Jaime, Abelino, and Kathy, as well as the attending staff at the St. Boniface Hospital. Special thanks also to Dr. Rosa Rosario, Fr. Gary Killen, and to all our closest friends, your support and genuine help will never be forgotten Lamay will be held on Wednesday, October 23 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight at the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Funeral mass will be celebrated the following morning, Thursday, October 24 at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will take place in Gubat Municipal Cemetery, Buenavista, Gubat, Sorsogon, Philippines.
