WILLIAM JONES Peacefully, on October 19, 2002, after a brief illness, William Jones, formerly of Listowel, ON, the beloved husband of Emma, passed away at the Concordia General Hospital at the age of 76 years. William will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Cathy Kennedy (Ian) of Barrie, ON, daughter Diane Kerr (John) of Listowel, son Robert Jones (Adriana) of Windsor, ON, stepson Gerry Walters (Bonnie) of Winnipeg, stepdaughter Janice Yakel (Dave) of Winnipeg, eight grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. His two sisters, Peggy Forbes of Lindsay, ON and Betty Matheson of Toronto, ON and their families, also survive him. His two sisters, Doreen Sauve and Marion Cowley, predeceased William. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22 at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with the Rev. Richard Kruesel officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, R3C 0S6 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., R3B 2H8.
