Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA PAWLOSKI Our beloved mother Stella Pawloski passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital with her family by her side, on October 17, 2002. Mom was born at Olchowczyk, Husiatyn, Ukraine in 1921 and came to Canada in 1926 at the age of 5 years. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Tekla and Stephan Slobodian; spouses, Bernard and Roy; and brother Joseph. Mom leaves to mourn her son Richard and wife Joan; her daughters, Bernice and husband Tim Kowerko, Jeanne and husband Allan Chapman, Beverly and husband John Church (from Sooke, BC), and Barbara and husband Eugene Kozera. She also leaves 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mom also leaves sisters, Lena and Olive; brothers, John, Gerald and Michael, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to acknowledge her niece Sharon, who always provided extra care and attention to Mom. We remember Mom as a kind and generous person with a loving heart to all. Mom took pleasure in baking bread and donuts for her family, visits from friends, picking berries and mushrooms and working in her flower garden. Mom will be missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to her many neighbours for visits, support and assistance and thanks to her friends at Club 13 who called her "Grandma". The family wishes to thank the nursing staff on the 3rd floor, Unit 5 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with funeral service following on Wednesday, October 23 at 2:00 p.m. also at the Chapel. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Richard Pawloski, Darcy Horn, Rick Kowerko, Jim Kowerko, Craig Van de Vooren and Shane Kowerko. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Jr., Myles, Jordan, Andrew, Stefan, Danny and Daniel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stellas memory to a charity of ones choice.
