BETTY RUTH CRAIG (nee McFADDEN) On September 17, 2002, the death occurred of Betty Ruth Craig in Malden Park Care Centre, Windsor, ON. She had been struggling with Alzheimers disease for a number of years. Betty was a nurse who obtained her RN degree from the old Grace Hospital. After working for a couple of years in Winnipeg, she went to New York where she worked for one of the large hospitals. From New York, she went to Boston, where she became Director of Nursing at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. She had met Archie Craig in New York and married him in Detroit in 1950. While living in Detroit, she became the Director of Nursing at the Lasher Hills Nursing Home, Southfield, MI. Betty had always had a fascination with antiques, so when she finished her nursing career, it became a very interesting hobby. She travelled a great deal, the British Isles being one of her favourite places, particularly Scotland, which she loved. Betty was predeceased by her parents; her sister Donna McLean; brothers, James and Bruce. She is survived by her husband Archie; daughter Jane; son Stephen; sister Wilda Beattie; and brother Beverly.
