Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBETHA EVELYN GIBSON On Sunday, October 20, 2001, Betha, beloved wife of Jack died at the age of 85 years. Left to cherish her memory are loving husband of 63 years of marriage, Jack, her sons Jack (Norine) and Barry both of Winnipeg and by her grandchildren Coral, Ryan and Penny-Lee. Betha and Jack were married at Inglis in 1939. She taught school in several rural schools in the Inglis areas as well as Sidney and Minnedosa, Manitoba. In 1956, she moved with her husband to Grandview, MB and taught there and at Gilbert Plains. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1968. During her teaching career, Bethas many students enjoyed her instruction in crafts which included knitting, crocheting and leather carving. During her retirement, she continued to enjoy her needlework, paper tole and knitting. An avid gardener, Betha spent many happy hours in the yard at the family cottage on Lake of the Woods. She will be missed and fondly remembered by her many friends and neighbours. On Monday, October 28 at 10:00 a.m., Bethas funeral service will be held in the Anglican Church of The Good Shepherd, 673 Silverstone Avenue with The Rev. Jennifer Sisson officiating. Sincere thanks to Dr. T.R. Babick and her many friends in the community with special thanks to Betty Grant for her loving care and support during Bethas illness.
