Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATALIN SZAKALL October 21, 2002, after a lengthy illness Katalin Szakall died peacefully in her sleep at Vista Park Lodge. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Imre who cared for her with complete devotion during her illness. She is also survived by her daughter Eva (John) and grandchildren, Emily and Matthew; and her sisters, Anna and Gizella who reside in Hungary. Katalin was born and grew up in Hungary. She married Imre on June 17, 1951. In 1956, Katalin, Imre and Eva left Hungary for Canada. During her time in Canada she worked at a variety of jobs and always worked her hardest to make a good life for her and her family. She was most happy during her times at their cottage in the Whiteshell where she could enjoy a well deserved rest and visit with many friends. She was proud of her grandchildren and their accomplishments. Her times at the lake with them were always special to her. She loved her husband dearly and would never go anywhere without him at her side. He will miss her greatly. According to her wishes a small family service will be held.
