DONALD GORDON ANDERSON It is with deep regret and sorrow that we announce the passing of Donald G. Anderson, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, on October 24, 2002 at the Concordia Hospital, at age 67. Don leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his wife Patricia; sons, Greg and Keith; beloved grandchildren, Kylee and Ashley Anderson; step-children, Jamie, Candy (Dennis) step-grandchildren, Chad, Tara (Brad) three step-great-grandchildren, Ashley, Rachael and Brook; brother Herb of Austin, TX; sister Vera (George) Forbes of Transcona; nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his mother Signe, father Emil and his sister-in-law Gabrielle. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Don remained a long-time resident of the Transcona. He had been employed at Silpit Industries, a job he had enjoyed very much. Taking early retirement, he had been able to enjoy more time with his family. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Ormiston, nurses and staff of the Concordia Hospital, for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 29 at 10:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., with Rev. Jeff Cook officiating. Private burial at Transcona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
