Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySIDNEY NEIL EDWARD "BEAU" BEAUCHAMP Sidney Neil Edward "Beau", Squadron Leader, RCAF, Retired, DFC, CD - died of cancer Monday, October 21, 2002, at Langley Memorial Hospital in Langley, BC. Predeceased by his wife Wilma (1969) parents, Sidney and Janet; and brothers, James and Arnold. Survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Doris; daughter Ferne; son Gregory; stepson Douglas; stepdaughter Alison; and three treasured grandchildren, Michael, Sarah and Colleen. Born January 25, 1920 and raised in Dauphin, MB, Beau flew with the "419 Squadron" during the Second World War, completing 35 bombing missions and receiving the DFC. He returned to Canada and a career with the RCAF, rising to the rank of Squadron Leader before retiring in Vancouver in 1969. He then worked for the Bank of Nova Scotia in Vancouver for 13 years before retiring. He and Doris moved from 15th Avenue in Vancouver to the Langley area in 1991. Cremation by request. A memorial service at 1100 hours, followed by a reception and refreshments until 1400 hours, will be held on Saturday, November 2, at the Langley R.C. Legion Branch No. 21, 20702 Eastleigh Cres., Langley, BC. A donation to the Cancer Society or other charity is appreciated. From a friend: "Beau has taken his final flight to a peaceful landing."
