Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANK JOZSEF BURIK December 28, 1971- October 22, 2002 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother and uncle, Frank Burik, on Tuesday, October 22, 2002, after a lifelong struggle with diabetes. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, John and Elizabeth Burik; brothers, John and Les; sister Liz Balichowski, her husband Barry and nephews, Michael and Jason. He also leaves numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Hungary as well as Winnipeg. Frank will always be remembered for his gentle and loving ways. He was a devoted son, brother and uncle who loved to spend time with his family and friends. He had a special place in his heart for his nephews, Michael and Jason and one only had to see them together to know how he adored them. One of Franks favourite places was at the family cabin in Lee River, where he spent many happy hours boating, water-skiing, fishing, spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Tok. He was employed by JEH Windows, where he was able to put his talent as a handyman to work. He was able to fix anything and was always there if you needed him. Funeral service will be held at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., on Tuesday, October 29 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Carol Fletcher officiating. Interment to follow at the Transcona Cemetery, with reception immediately after at the Oxford Heights Community Club, 359 Dowling Ave. East. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1101-191 Lombard Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 0X1. Rest in peace Frank We love you Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
