Clara was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur in January, 1997. They had been happily married for 58 years. She was also predeceased by her parents, Edith and Simon Paskov; and her brothers, Max, Louis, Malcolm and David; and sisters, Dora, Betty, and Shauna. She is survived by brothers-in-law, Ruben Senensky and Morris Fromson; and by sisters-in-law, Dorothy Skinner and Nellie Paskov. Claras memory is cherished by her three daughters, Shauna and Jack Switzer (Calgary), Miriam and Larry Shannon (Calgary), Shirley Fromson and Denis Demeule (Winnipeg) by grandchildren, Ted Switzer and Michele Doctoroff, Steven and Kathy Switzer, Jodi and Dan Giesinger, Ari Shannon and Jacki North, Jay and Hamdiya Stoller, Sean Stoller and Joelle Gette; and by great-grandchildren, Sydney Switzer, Jordan and Hannah Giesinger, and Jacob Shannon. She will also be missed and remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Clara was born and grew up in the North End. She and Art married in Winnipeg in 1939. They moved to Red Lake and shortly after to McKenzie Island, ON where they formed many lifelong friendships. In 1954 they returned to Winnipeg, working together in their grocery business in St. Boniface until their retirement. Clara worked tirelessly for the Queen Esther chapter of Hadassah. She was a talented writer leaving a treasury of family history and humour as a legacy to her children and grandchildren. Clara was a gentle, loving soul. Her kindness and caring touched the hearts of all who knew her. Children were her hearts delight. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always treasure very special memories. Thank you to the fifth floor staff of the Sharon Home and a special thanks to Helen for her loving care. Burial took place on October 9 at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. Donations in Claras memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
