Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLGA DOWNEY (nee REINSCH) Passed away peacefully, one month prior to her 95th birthday, at Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home, October 25, 2002. Olga was predeceased by her husband, Wes, and brothers, August, Henry and Robert. Surviving are sisters-in-law, Hilda Reinsch and Nettie Reinsch; nephews and nieces; and half-siblings, Raymond Reinsch and Doreen Hamilton. Olga was a devoted, loving aunt to nephews, Ron (Carolyn), Allan (Marilyn), Ed (Theresa), Larry (Linda), and Winston Reinsch; as well as her nieces, Joan (Theron) Brooks and Carole (David) Roberts. Olga was born in Brunkild, MB on November 25, 1907, but spent most of her life in Winnipeg; during much of which she earned her keep as a landlord, together with working many years at Eatons Grill Room, making many friends. Olga was an independent, outgoing person, a past Noble Grand with Rebekah Lodge, and a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Tuxedo Villa and Lions Place for their kindness to Olga during her time with them. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4 at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway with Pastor Greg Fowlie-Neufeld officiating.
