MARY GAY Peacefully, on Friday, October 25, 2002 at Concordia Hospital, Mary Gay of Winnipeg. Mary was born and lived in Winnipeg all her life. She was a loyal employee of Eatons for 48 years in the Signature Shop. Mary was a past president of Holy Family Nursing Home Ladies Auxiliary, a 54 year member of the UCWLC, involved with the seniors groups at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic, St. Josephs Roman Catholic and Christ Lutheran churches. Mary was also a member of the St. Nicholas Apostleship of Prayers group and the Eatons Retirement Club. Mary was predeceased by her husband Nicholas; parents Peter and Polly Kuczer and brother Michael. Left to cherish her memory are her son Brian and wife Maria of Steinbach; cherished grandsons David and Stefan; sister Pauline; nephew George and Natalie Ehr; great-nephew Adam; nieces Linda Lahti of Detroit, Veronica Caione of Penticton, B.C., Maryann Copeland of Ontario, nephew Kenneth Kuczer of California and Godson Donald Sobkow. Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 30 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Bannerman Ave. at Arlington St., followed by prayers at 7:00 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 31 also at the Church with a Basilian Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the St. Nicholas Elevator Fund or a charity of ones choice.
