Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARLEAN HARDMAN Peacefully, after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer, Marlean Hardman passed from this life to her next challenge on October 25, 2002 at the Selkirk General Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 40 years Roger, children, Roger Jr. (Cathy), Stonewall, Darcy (Kim), Selkirk, and Teri-Lynn (John) Lovenjak, Ashfield; and by her grandchildren, David, Kristi, Dustin, Scott, Jordanna, and Jody. Marlean is further survived by her mother Martha Exner, brothers and sisters, Clarence (Joyce) Schmidt, Erwin, Shirley, James (Dianne), Dennis (Val), and Elmer (Brenda) step-brothers, Joe and Otto; and by numerous nieces and nephews of whom she was very fond. Marlean was born in Killaly, SK on January 19, 1944. She relocated to Melville, SK where she attended school until she met her lifelong companion Roger Hardman. After marrying they moved to Regina to start their lives together. In 1962 opportunities for a better life relocated them to Thompson, MB. Marlean worked for Inco and enjoyed her family most of all. Spending many hours with her children and then her grandchildrens sporting events. You could always hear Marlean cheering on the family at all the activities. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ryckman, Dr. Demsas, and Dr. Hussain. And special thank you to all of the nurses and the palliative care team at Selkirk General Hospital, and to Pastor Dave at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marleans memory can be made to the palliative care at Selkirk General Hospital and/or to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Selkirk. Prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 28 at Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk. Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, #9A Hwy., 3 blocks south of Selkirk on Main St. Rite of Committal will follow at Ashfield Community Cemetery (Northeast corner of 44 Hwy. and 59 Hwy.) Pastor Dave Saude officiating. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
